Working Stiff - Rachel Caine

The book started out slow, very slow. I almost stopped reading it out of boredom. I'm not sure why there was so much boring detail at the beginning of the book because it wasn't needed. Ok, on to the review. Picture the Argeaneau vampire series but instead of nanos there's nanites and instead of needing blood for them to regenerate they need to be injected daily. Oh and the user has to be dead. So it's not the whole zombie apocalypse but imagine how dependent someone would be on their daily shot and you get the point of the book. I liked the main characters and there seems to be a solid base for a series. I wasn't sure how there could be a series out of the concept at first. We'll see how it goes in the next book Two Weeks' Notice
