This book was recommended to me by a friend and I didn't read much of the reviews so I had no idea what to expect beyond the book description. All I can say is wow... it was not at all what I expected. It was much, much more. I know it's classified as young adult but don't let that sway you when deciding whether or not to read it. Unlike some books (for example House of Night) the 16 year olds do not act like little kids. I will have to read the next book in the series because my gosh there are so many unanswered questions and of course I must know what happens next! I loved the characters and there where a lot of unexpected surprises. I will leave the review at that since I don't want to give away any spoilers.
